I had a natural talent for drowning myself when I was a kid. I definitely would not be here today without the quick reaction of the YCMA lifeguard that was on duty when I was two years old. I have a lot of respect for lifeguards and for people that pay attention and take action to rescue people that are drowning. This situation was pretty gnarly. As surfer's we're very intuned with timing sets & waves as they break, but most swimmer's aren't. Today in Ocean City, Maryland Kalani RObb & I rescued a swimmer who was potentially drowning. If we weren't in the same area that he was swimming no one would've have known or maybe even seen his situation happening.
