XXL Teahupoo: Code Red II & More

There something that is absolutely heroic about surfing big waves. A person could completely invisible to the word in the regular day to day life, and then a swell hits. The huge waves can create a once in a life time moment that can define a person, their character, determination and grit. These are the qualities that I admire and I can't wait to see who pushes the limits even further.

Put on your seat belts and strap in because these videos are are going to rock you! Check it out:

Biggest, Scariest Teahupoo in Over a Decade

July 13th, 2022 will go down in history at Teahupo'o. Biggest, scariest day in more than a decade, prompting local officials to call a "Code Red" -- no nautical activities for 24 hours -- for the first time since 2011. And it was a session more than a decade in the making as well -- most of the surfers who tackled these beasts were children during the original Code Red swell in 2011. They grew up in the shadow of its legends and this was their chance to make their own. Here’s the entire Surfline Swell Story, documented from all angles and with behind-the-scenes interviews from those who were lucky enough to experience this historic day. Surfers include: Matahi Drollet, Emieo Czermak, Noah Beschen, Lucas Chumbo, Koa Rothman, Tereva David, Justine Dupont and Billy Kemper. Through the Lens of: Tim McKenna, Anuanua Lucas, Pedro Bala, Tereva David, Lea Hahn, Diego Balestro. XXL Teahupoo: Code Red II | July 13 2022

“Biggest waves I've ever seen at Teahupoo,” said Billy Kemper about Code Red II yesterday – one of those sessions that will be forever etched into the memory of the few who went out there. Early in the morning of July 13 2022, marine authorities designated the whole area around the isle of Tahiti as code red. The swell was so big, the wind funky, water gushing into the lagoon – and the message was clear; stay out of the water. Code Red means at least a 24 hour halt on all water activities. A few hours later and the road into Teahupoo was closed, police controlling whoever attempted to drive to the End of the Road. What happened next is the biggest day since 2011's Code Red I. And let's time warp back to august 2000... And the wave ridden by Laird Hamilton that opened the door to the impossible of tow-in surfing this wave in huge surf.

code red - Tahiti biggest swell

Watch the full length movie (HD) https://vimeo.com/ondemand/immersiont... :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: This edit is an excerpt from our surf movie entitled IMMERSION the movie, which has been awarded best movie at the Maui Film festival 'BEST MOVIE I'VE EVER SEEN" Barry Rivers [ Maui Film Festival director]. Code Red, was to date one of the biggest recorded swell in history. One surfer, Nathan Fletcher caught the biggest wave that day. An amazing ride in the darkness of Teahupo'o tube. Will he come out safe and sound? This ride made all people on boats wondering, wondering, eyes fixed on the bold surfer...until the wave caught up with all on boats and created chaos! Teahupoo is the most dangerous wave in the world. Many gets hurt. A show of unbelievable wipeouts from daredevils. ________________________________ INSTAGRAM https://www.instagram.com/tim_bonytho...
