'Bomb cyclone' causes street flooding in Southern California; rain totals impressive

Torrential rainfall hit Southern California Thursday morning as a “bomb cyclone” delivered as expected. Rain totals exceeded 2 inches in some areas of Los Angeles County by mid-morning with higher totals in the mountains and coastal valleys of Ventura County. The National Weather Service said the storm produced up to 1.25 inches of rain per hour in some locations.

Southern CA is getting hit with a giant swell so I had to go see for myself. I didn't find anyone surfing until I was driving away, so I pulled into the parking lot just north of El Porto to see 2 dudes absolutely sending it on these giant waves!! I only had my iPhone with me so apologies for the quality, but I couldn't resist sharing this footage with you, so enjoy it!
